Lesson notes for the week of 12-16 November
Mondays 14:00, Thursdays (all times) A2-B1:
We have finished Units 1, 2 and 3 and have also done the review on pages 30-31. You are responsible for all of the material in these three Units. Remember the 'practical application' of the grammar and the vocabulary in these units. For those who have decided not to buy the book, here are the subjects we have covered:
Grammar: to be - affirmative, negative, interrogative, short answers; there is/there are - affirmative, negative, interrogative, short answers; a lot of; present simple - affirmative negative, interrogative; question words; adverbs of frequency.
Vocabulary: cities and adjectives, places in a city, buildings and places; Jobs and places of work, jobs in an office; Verbs and words connected with water.
Speaking: Asking personal questions, questions about different cities, contractions, schwa 8 ; Reporting on someone's job/study, discussing jobs, word stress; talking about water, asking questions about routines and habits, showing interest.
