All new 1st year students MUST take a 'placement' exam to determine their level of English.
Some will obtain 'idoneità' immediately if their English is sufficient to pass the exam (level B1).
Others will be placed at the A1 or A2 level, and are invited to enroll in a class at the times indicated below. (A1 = Principianti, A2 = Elementare. More info here. Not sure? Test your English here!)
If you already have approved certification proving that you speak, read, understand and write English at the B1 level or higher (Cambridge PET, FCE, Trinity, etc.) you must take your original certificate and a photocopy to the Segreteria Studenti, sign a form, and your documentation will be sent to the Centro Linguistico (CLA) for evaluation. IF approved, you will receive your credits directly from CLA.
English courses will be offered in the 1st and 2nd semester. You can choose when to enroll.
Enrollment is necessary to follow a course, and final exams for idoneità will be offered at various times during the year.
I will be present on Oct. 1 from 10:30 to 13:30 to answer your questions and to help you enroll. You can also enroll directly in class on your first day. Please do not enroll on this blog.
