I am very sorry for the delay in publishing these results. I wanted to correct your tests carefully.
If this had been a final exam, many of you would not have passed, so you have some work to do in the second semester!
Remember, the general rule is that you must have 18/30 to pass, therefore you must answer 60% of the questions correctly. There were 135 questions on this test, so you should have reached at least 81 (let's say 80). I have not written your names for fear of embarrassing someone. If you cannot find your number, send me an email at pickens@unina.it.
Those of you who have at least 80, you are welcome to sign up for the final exam.
The fact that you have taken and passed this test will count in your favor by increasing your final mark by 10%.
The rest of you need to study a bit more...

Tutto quello che vorresti sapere sull'esame di inglese...

...TUTTI GLI ESAMI SI TERRANNO A GENNAIO E FEBBRAIO - prenotazione obbligatoria!
(Il test 'intercorso' del 16 dicembre è SOLO per i frequentanti, che dovranno venire alla stessa ora del corso che hanno seguito.)

1) Per la maggior parte delle nuove matricole (iscritte quest'anno), l'esame non puo' essere convalidato prima di giugno. Cio' nonostante, permetto agli studenti che hanno gia' il livello necessario per superarlo di svolgere l'esame a gennaio o febbraio.
(Per esempio, i FREQUENTANTI - e solo i frequentanti - di questo semestre che superino con largo margine il test scritto su Units 1, 2, 3 e 4 di dicembre possono accedere all'esame). I risultati saranno congelati fino a giugno, quando sara' possibile convalidare l'esame.

2) Gli studenti degli altri anni che hanno raggiunto il livello necessario per superare l'esame possono prenotare l'esame sul foglio delle prenotazioni che si trovera' a partire dal 15 dicembre nell'aula di informatica del Complesso di Mascabruno.

3) Il livello richiesto e' B1 del Quadro di Riferimento Europeo per le Lingue (Cliccare qui per una scheda di autovalutazione)

4) Se non riesci a capire se sei pronto ad affrontare l'esame o meno, puoi provare un test molto simile online (Cliccare qui per fare una prova simile alla prova finale).

5) L'esame si svolgera', previa prenotazione, il 13, 20, o 27 gennaio; oppure il 3 o 10 febbraio. Le prenotazioni si possono fare nell'aula di informatica del Complesso di Mascabruno.

Certificazioni internazionale PET, FCE, CAE

Attualmente è possibile sostenere gli esami internazionali CAMBRIDGE presso il Centro gli esami per le certificazioni PET (Preliminary English Test), FCE (First Certificate in English) e CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) corrispondenti rispettivamente ai livelli B1, B2 e C1 del Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento.

•10 dicembre - apertura delle iscrizioni: 5 novembre - scadenza per la presentazione delle domande: 26 novembre
FCE (B2)
•19 novembre - apertura delle iscrizioni: 15 ottobre - scadenza per la presentazione delle domande: 5 novembre.

Gli esami si svolgono in modalità computerizzata, presso il Laboratorio di Didattica Informatizzata di Via Mezzoccanone 16 - III piano - le cui risorse sono state gentilmente messe a disposizione del CLA dal Direttore del Laboratorio, Prof. Ugo Lepore.

Puoi scegliere tra PET (pre-intermediate level) e FCE (intermediate level). Gli esami si svolgeranno al Centro Linguistico a Napoli con uno sconto per gli studenti della FED II. L'ISCRIZIONE AI CORSI NON E' NECESSARIO, sono GRATIS ed APERTI A TUTTI.

Non abbiamo ancora stabilito la data precisa per la convalida degli esami di inglese.

Tutti gli studenti iscritti ai Corsi di Laurea in Produzioni vegetali, Scienze e Tecnologie agrarie, Tecnologie agrarie, Scienze forestali e ambientali, Tecnologie alimentari e Lauree specialistiche che hanno già superato i test di Conoscenza della lingua straniera (Inglese e Francese)e di Conoscenza Tecnico-Scientifica della Lingua Inglese (Tecnologie Alimentari II° anno Vecchio Ordinamento) possono presentarsi nei giorni

24 giugno e 22 luglio p.v. dalle ore 14.30 alle 16.00

nell’aula di Inglese (di fronte al Laboratorio di informatica) per registrare l’idoneità. Si raccomanda di venire muniti del libretto universitario.

Correzione tesi

Laboratorio Inglese martedì e mercoledì

Ricordiamo agli studenti che il martedì dalle 10:00 alle 13:00 e il mercoledì dalle 14:30 alle 16:30, il laboratorio di inglese resterà aperto per le seguenti attività:

- correzione di presentazioni Power Point (per LAUREANDI);
- assistenza per la comprensione di articoli scientifici;
- assistenza per l'utilizzo di materiali stampati (libri di testo, dizionari specializzati);
- assistenza per l'uso di materiali elettronici (CD, DVD) per chi vuole utilizzare i 12 computer del laboratorio.

Saranno presenti tre TUTOR, dott.ssa Lucia Cozzolino, dott. Luigi Castaldi e dott.ssa Federica Farina.

NB: gli studenti interessati alla correzione delle presentazioni Power Point dovranno prenotarsi almeno 15 giorni prima della seduta di laurea, inviando una e-mail ai seguenti indirizzi:

La correzione non è in alcun caso una traduzione ex novo ma un’assistenza offerta agli studenti per migliorare un lavoro di per sé già valido. Non saranno quindi prese in considerazione, presentazioni con livello di inglese troppo scadente o con interi paragrafi copiati e incollati da siti di traduzione simultanea.
Ad ogni studente sarà dedicato un tempo massimo di 20 min.

Exams will be BOTH written AND oral, and will last at least 2 hours.

Exams for students who have attended the course (more than 50% of the time) will be starting May 27th, 28th - come at the same time your course would normally be. (Example: you attended a course at 9:00 on Thursdays, so your exam would be Thursday, May 27th , at 9:00).

Since you now have a LONG break (Happy Easter, by the way!) you will need to practice your English from home. Here is how you can do it - by doing exercises which are EXACTLY like the final exam!!!
All you have to do is click on this LINK - EXAM PRACTICE.
There are two examples of the PET exam...just click on "Test 1" at the top (in the red strip), but do ALL of the exercises (at the top, in the red strip: writing, listening and reading).
Then, tell me what you found MOST difficult by clicking on 'comments' and writing your message here. I will use this information to help you in the last few weeks of your course. Good luck!
