Gentile professoressa, sono un'iscritta al primo anno di Scienze forestali. Poichè non mi è ben chiaro dagli avvisi, vorrei sapere una cosa: sono già in possesso del FCE (livello B2), devo seguire lo stesso il corso e, in tal caso, a quale ora? Sarei venuta di persona per accertarmene, ma abito a Salerno e mi dispiacerebbe perdere tutto il pomeriggio in andata e ritorno. La ringrazio anticipatamente.

First of all, I'd like to congratulate you on having the FCE. You are well on your way to achieving a level of fluency in English that is rare in this country. You will probably not have any problems passing the University exam, but the point is not only to get your credits - the important thing is to keep practicing, because it is very easy to get rusty and eventually forget any language, including English. There are also more difficult exams to take, and you will need to continue to improve in order to reach a level which allows you to get a good job both here in Italy and abroad.
I would suggest that you try to come to my conversation class occasionally, on Thursday afternoons after your regular courses, just to maintain your level of fluency. You can take the exam with the other students, and you shouldn't have any problems with it.
Come and see me sometime between classes, and we can think of some ways that you can continue studying even if you can't always attend my courses. I am in Portici on Thursdays and Fridays.
Ok, thank you very much! It's true, I'd need some speaking practice! I promise you I'll come next Thursday afternoon (or Friday).
